I'm beggining to think Tuesday's are my day. Last Tuesday, I helped the girls clean their room and today I've been doing everything and anything that needs to get done around here.
As usual, the day started with getting the girls ready and out the door to school. As John watched, The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, I began making my favortie meal, split pea with ham soup (my grandmother's recipie). As that's been slowly cooking on the stove, I've been making homemade bread and even got an apple pie in the oven. It's going to be a great dinner!
I feel so blessed that I'm able to make delicious, homecooked meals for my family. Plus, I can do it while running after a two year old, not to mention clean the house and stay caught up on the laundry. Not long ago, I wouldn't have been able to do these things, unless someone was by my side helping me every step of the way. To say I love days like this would be an understatement. Days like today are an amazing gift that I won't ever take for granted!
After living the first 33 years of my life thinking I had Spastic Diplegia, a form of Cerebal Palsey, I was correctly diagnosed with Dopa Responsive Dystonia (DRD). I am on new medication and doing things that I never imagined possible. This has changed the lives of my husband and two daughters. I truly believe that I am living a miracle each and every day. Life can't get any better than this!
