What a weekend!! On Saturday, I spent 3 hours trying on bridesmaid dresses! I've been a bridesmaid three times, but this was the first time I was able to go with and actually try on the dresses. To say it was fun, would be an understatement. Along with the bride to be and the maid of honor, we tried on dresses that were elegant, sexy, classy, stunning and just plain awful!!
Every time I stepped into another dress, I couldn't help but think how lucky I was. The thought how am I doing this? crossed my mind multiple times along with take my picture in this one so I can post it to my blog. Back in the day, I wouldn't have been able to try on dresses due to the spasticity in my arms and legs. Plus, I did it standing up!!!
It's not just about the dresses though. I really feel blessed that I was able to drive nearly three hours to spend this special day with my beautiful cousin. Life is a gift and I'm so glad that I always take the time to appreciate the LITTLE things in life, because they area always the BIG things.
Congratulations to the bride to be, Jessie, and her future husband, Randy!!!
After living the first 33 years of my life thinking I had Spastic Diplegia, a form of Cerebal Palsey, I was correctly diagnosed with Dopa Responsive Dystonia (DRD). I am on new medication and doing things that I never imagined possible. This has changed the lives of my husband and two daughters. I truly believe that I am living a miracle each and every day. Life can't get any better than this!
