This is one of my favorite times of year. I love all of the special family time and yesterday was no different. I had the privilege of baking cookies with the girls in my family.
I love that I was able to not only organize the event, but I was able to mix batter, take cookies in and out of the oven and even snap a photo of my mom with some her granddaughters. Sure, the cookies all taste fantastic, but it's not about that. It's about the laughter, smiles and girly conversations that create such wonderful memories.
Looking at these photos, I can't believe that I can bake. Not long ago, I would have been sitting on the sidelines. These days, I'm right in there getting dirty with everyone else!! What an amazing gift!!!
After living the first 33 years of my life thinking I had Spastic Diplegia, a form of Cerebal Palsey, I was correctly diagnosed with Dopa Responsive Dystonia (DRD). I am on new medication and doing things that I never imagined possible. This has changed the lives of my husband and two daughters. I truly believe that I am living a miracle each and every day. Life can't get any better than this!
